About
Free online tools that just work. GlobalKit is a growing collection of online tools and calculators for everyday problems: work out a percentage, a loan payment or a VAT amount, convert units, measure an area or the time between two dates. You arrive with a question, get the answer in seconds, and move on.
Why "GlobalKit"
A kit is a set of tools put together for one job: a first-aid kit, a repair kit, a starter kit. You don't need to know how it was made. You open it and use what's inside.
That is the idea behind the name. People everywhere run into small problems that need the right tool at the right moment, and every person who arrives has a different need. So we build kits: a set of tools for each kind of problem, available to anyone, in their own language. The global part is the goal. A tool should be useful to a person in Istanbul, in London or anywhere else, and where a country's rules matter, the tool says so openly instead of guessing.
What we build
GlobalKit's tools start with calculators and will grow into other kinds of online tools over time. Each tool has its own page that explains what it does, the formula or method behind it, worked examples, common mistakes and answers to frequent questions. The goal is that you understand the result, not just receive it.
How we keep tools accurate
- Standard, documented methods. Every calculator uses a well-known formula or rule, and the page shows how it works and how rounding is handled.
- Automated tests. Each calculation is covered by automated tests that check normal cases, edge cases and invalid input.
- Money is handled exactly. Amounts are calculated in whole cents rather than with rounding-prone decimals, so totals add up.
- Country rules are labelled. Where a result depends on the law of a country, the calculator shows which country and year it applied, and says so when a country isn't supported yet.
- Mistakes get fixed. If you find an error, tell us and we correct it on the page.
The tools give general information, not professional advice; see the Disclaimer.
Private by design
The tools run in your browser. What you type into a calculator is not sent to us. There are no accounts. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
