Net to Gross Salary Calculator

Enter the net salary you want to take home and see the gross salary each month of 2026 that pays it, with social security, unemployment insurance, cumulative income tax and stamp tax.

Calculated under Türkiye's 2026 rules. The net salary you enter is kept the same every month; the gross changes through the year.

How it works

Enter the monthly net salary you want. For each of the 12 months of 2026 the calculator finds the smallest gross salary that pays that net, and shows a table with social security and unemployment, income tax, stamp tax and net for every month. The result card shows the January gross, the average gross for the year, the December gross and the yearly total.

Why not one gross figure? Because income tax is not calculated month by month on its own, but on the tax base accumulated since January. Even with a fixed gross your net falls during the year. If you want a fixed net, the gross has to rise when you cross a bracket to make up for it. The calculator therefore works through the months in order:

1. January: pick the smallest gross G1 so that
   G1 − social security − unemployment − income tax − stamp tax ≥ net
2. Add January's tax base (G1 − social security − unemployment) to the accumulated base
3. February: solve for the same net, now with the accumulated base filled in → G2
4. Repeat through December

The deductions at every step are identical to those in the take-home pay calculator: 14% social security, 1% unemployment, income tax on the 2026 wage tariff (15% up to 190,000 TRY, 20% up to 400,000 TRY, 27% up to 1,500,000 TRY, 35% up to 5,300,000 TRY, 40% above), the minimum-wage exemption, and stamp tax of 0.759% of gross pay (with the minimum wage's stamp tax exempt). Amounts are handled as whole kuruş and each deduction is rounded once to the kuruş. If lowering the gross by one kuruş would drop the net under the target, that gross is the smallest solution.

The minimum wage. The net minimum wage is 28,075.50 TRY. A lower net returns an error; enter exactly that amount and every month comes out at a gross of 33,030.00 TRY with no income tax or stamp tax.

The social security ceiling. Social security and unemployment premiums apply to pay up to 297,270 TRY a month. For high net targets the gross passes that limit; in those months the two deductions stay flat and any extra gross goes entirely to tax. The result card shows how many months are above the ceiling.

The calculation follows Türkiye's 2026 rules. Rates, tariff and limits are kept in a separate data file with their sources and updated each January.

Examples

Net 30,000 TRY. From January to June the gross is 35,721.94 TRY. Social security is 5,001.07 TRY, unemployment 357.22 TRY and the base 30,363.65 TRY; tax of 4,554.55 TRY less the 4,211.33 TRY minimum-wage exemption leaves 343.22 TRY of income tax, plus 20.43 TRY stamp tax, and the net is exactly 30,000.00 TRY. In July the accumulated base reaches 213,557.92 TRY and passes the 190,000 TRY limit, so part of the month is taxed at 20% (income tax 1,346.55 TRY). The exemption also rises to 4,537.75 TRY that month, and the gross needed goes up to 36,912.96 TRY. From August to December the base is fully in the 20% bracket and the exemption is 5,615.10 TRY, so the gross falls back to 35,892.08 TRY. The yearly gross is 430,705.00 TRY, an average of 35,892.08 TRY a month, with 5,838.62 TRY of income tax and 260.65 TRY of stamp tax.

Keep the gross at 35,721.94 TRY all year and the net does not stay put: 30,000.00 TRY through June, 29,199.14 TRY in July and 29,885.59 TRY from August to December. That gap is why a fixed net needs a changing gross.

Net 40,000 TRY. The gross is 49,709.72 TRY from January to April. The accumulated base passes 190,000 TRY in May and tax moves to 20% from that month: 51,291.06 TRY in May and 52,851.64 TRY in June. The exemption change then lowers it to 52,366.19 TRY in July and 50,763.96 TRY in August. The base passes 400,000 TRY in October and 27% begins; the gross rises to 54,360.84 TRY and then to 55,692.02 TRY in November and December. The yearly gross is 622,620.57 TRY, an average of 51,885.05 TRY a month, with 47,510.18 TRY of income tax.

Net 200,000 TRY. The gross is 276,673.41 TRY in January and 347,314.05 TRY in December. From February it is above the 297,270 TRY ceiling, so for 11 months social security and unemployment stay at 41,617.80 TRY and 2,972.70 TRY. The yearly gross is 3,934,260.16 TRY, an average of 327,855.01 TRY, with 975,411.03 TRY of income tax.
